The challenge
How do we help an ambitious business providing in-home care services to transform digitally and prepare for scale-up?
The solution
Redesigning the marketing website to allow the marketing team to create content faster while also focusing on better user experience for its users.
We went through 2 redesign iterations both with their own business goals.
Quick sneak peak
The digital evolution of Amelis in its 3 iterations so far

2018
Back in 2018 Amelis had an old Drupal website, hard to maintain, hard to use by the Amelis digital team.

2018 – 2019
We went and migrated the entire website into a new user-centric website built on WordPress, magnet for leads and easy to maintain.

2019 – 2020
In 2019 the Amelis team went through a company rebranding and a new user interface emerged into the website along with tons of new enhancements.
Building the Iteration 2 of the Amelis website
In 2018 Amelis had 13 agencies in France, in places like Paris, Bordeaux, Nice, etc, and was planning an expansion in the coming years. The digital team was making big efforts to update the content while the whole website was hard to mantain. On the user’s side, the forms were not intuitive and needed major improvements. One key aspect was to create the best experience possible for people requesting a free quote.
So, they asked us to create a code light WordPress website, with a clean UX design keeping permanently in mind the following objectives:
- Increase the number of leads
- Easier content-creation by the internal team
- A need for a user-friendly lead dashboard
- A clean redesign with a modern look
The client prepared a list of screens to be designed for the initial launch
We used Sketch and inVision to produce high fidelity prototypes based on the initial sketches provided by them.

High standards forms at the core of the website
The main lead capture form was designed from scratch and it’s successfully collecting users requests from 40+ custom built pages. Secondary forms were redesigned as well to meet the same high standards.

Stress-free page creation and content editing
We developed an easy way to create content using the WordPress CMS. We also build reusable components across the website to help the Amelis digital team work smarter. It’s easy now to create new pages and maintain the existing ones.

Building the 3rd iteration of the Amelis website
In 2019 Amelis had to prepare its website for a new business milestone (growing from 13 to 39 agencies in France). In the same time, following a market study the company decided to reposition its brand image. So, along with a pack of automations needed for the scale-up, there was a clear necessity to implement a new UI resulted after the rebranding.
This time we focused to meet the following objectives:
- Redesign the entire UI
- Prepare the website for scaling the number of agencies (at least 3x)
- Increase the importance of SEO to enhance the Inbound Marketing strategy
- Integrate custom imagery to reveal the profound human approach
Complete redesign of the website
Aligned with the new branding directions we created a modern UI which is highly distinguishable in its industry and appreciated by people who use the website.

A website with 200+ pages, ready for a scale-up business
Amelis became a scale-up business in France by tripling the number of agencies. This challenge came with specific technical requirements for improving the workflows and the reports. Overall we needed to adapt the website to the increasing number of pages and leads as well.

After
The map of the 3rd iteration, showing a much stronger presence of the business in France.

Extra attention to custom imagery
People are for sure at the heart of every Amelis service. And we needed to reflect the human side of this company on the website as well, because they really go the extra mile for the physical and moral support of their customers (the elderly, people with disabilities or people returning home from hospitalisation).

Improved SEO to drive more organic traffic
For Amelis, the Inbound Marketing strategy is driven by the respect for their customers. It means to provide the correct information to all website’s visitors so they can make the best decisions when the time is right. We committed to respect the best SEO practices so more and more people could organically access the website’s qualitative content.
The results
Thanks to the dedication of the Amelis digital team, the website is evolving in the right direction, proving that it brings real value to its customers and to the whole business.
